Throw Some Shapes
Dave’s great, he let’s us do what we want. Back in the Spring we produced a stop motion animation for Dave’s label for an artist called Lost Twin, it was the first release for the label. Since, Throw Some Shapes have teamed up with Tru Thoughts, an amazing label, and nationwide distribution is imminent. Brilliant. Our newest brief was to produce a piece of moving image of roughly 20 minutes long, by way of a ‘VJ set’. We didn’t have long. I like facepainting and the amazing ‘BLU’ animations, so we kinda merged the two ideas to create a looped 20 minute stop animation for a TSS night, tomorrow night at the Brighton Coalition featuring the marvelous Gold Panda amongst others. We came up with the idea and did it in a panic in only two weeks thanks to the mad skills of Alyssa Peacock, animator extraordinaire. Tickets are still available on the door, come on down, it’s sure to be a cracker.
